Just short of £420,000 changed hands at the dispersal of JT and J Nattress and Son’s dispersal of their noted Greenwell pedigree Limousin sale from Lanchester, Durham, last week, where trade peaked at 23,000gns.

The sale, staged at Carlisle was led by the five-year-old cow, Greenwell Amy, a Tanin daughter which sold with Vagabond-sired bull calf at foot to Gary Swindlehurst, farm manager at Procters Farm, Woodhouse Lane, Slaidburn, Clitheroe, who bought two of the next three highest priced lots including the next dearest at 12,000gns. This was the French-bred cow Ulna, a seven-year-old by MasCu Clo, with heifer calf at foot by Casimir.
