Liley Angus herd on the increase

Ben Marsden of Marsdens Farms, Penistone, near Sheffield, has purchased 17 in-calf cows privately from the Elliot family's Rawburn herd, Roxburgh Mains, Kelso, for his Liley herd, established in 2010.

These females join his current herd base of 35 cows with the aim of expanding up to 100 to 150 pedigree cows.

Due in the spring this year, the females – aged between three and nine years – are from the Ebony, Lady Ruth, Miss Essence, Duchess and Windsor families.
