A strong trade prevailed throughout at the reduction sale of 243 Luing cows and calves, 11 yearling heifers and six stock bulls, staged on behalf of Cadzow Bros, Ardlarach, Luing, at Castle Douglas auction market last week.
The 122 cows with heifer calves averaged £1800.49, while 121 cows with bull calves levelled at £1460.89, giving an overall average of £1631.39.
