Bosa 1 Hurst is bound for France

Gerald BLANDFORD and Son of Bosa Herefords – recent winners of the National Herd of the Year – have sold the 18-month-old bull, Bosa 1 Hurst, to Guillaume Deslandes, Meneac, France, for £4000.

By the reserve Sire of the Year, Velleyhill 1 Ho Boy, Hurst was first in his class at the Three Counties Show this year and sports a Terminal Sire Index of +37 and a Self Replacing Index of +44, both being in the top 1% for the breed.

There has been strong interest in France for the Hereford breed during the past 12 months, including in the meat sector, with major retailer, Metro, re-launching its Hereford Vintage Beef range.
