The champion topped the trade at Craig Wilson’s show and sale of pedigree Holsteins at Ayr, selling for 2150gns to H Watson, Laigh Tarbeg.

Lesmay Sheriff Thistle, a calved heifer from Brian Weatherup and son Brian, Parkend, Cowdenbeath, is by the Rosebett Lakeside son, Parkend Lakeside Sheriff Red and out of Lesmay Thistle Red.

Messrs Brewster, Boclair, Glasgow, sold the second top priced heifer at 2050gns. Boclair Standard Echo 2, a heifer in milk by the Roylane Jordan son, Boclair Standard, is out of a home-bred cow with nine lactations averaging in excess of 10,600kg. She sold to Messrs Robertson, East Saint Colmac, Rothesay, Bute.

No bulls were sold.
