Selling for the top bid of 4450gns was the 2007-born Paulern Carol, an embryo daughter of Tamhorn Sumo and out of the Belgian bred and Dafydd d'Ochain-sired Zwarte II ET VD Wildebee. She sold four months in-calf to the home-bred bull Paulern Declan, which later sold for 2900gns, to Paul Dawes of Dinmore Manor, Herefordshire.
Making the next top price of 4200gns was Paulern Gloucester, a January 2011-born black and white son of Paulern Aquita and out of the Cristal de Somme-sired Paulern Diamond. He sold to Freeland Farms, Cheltenham, who bought a number of young bulls at the dispersal.
In addition, nearly 500 straws of semen from a variety of outstanding British Blue bulls were on offer which topped at 160gns for Affute DU RY Ossogne.
