Twinfields dispersal reaches 3800gns

The FIRST of two sales to disperse the Twinfields Holstein herd owned by Messrs Bainsbridge, Outfield, Carnforth, Lancester, followed the Border and Lakeland club sale, last week, and saw a top price of 3800gns for the Pennview Ice Pack daughter, Twinfields Ice Pack Jenny VG86.

This rising three-year-old heifer is bred from three generations of Excellent dams and is out of the 11,836kg Twinfields Integrity Jenny EX92-3E. She sold to an undisclosed buyer from South-west Scotland and in calf to Amighetti Numero Uno, having last calved in September and giving 43kg.

A full report is in this week's issue of The Scottish Farmer, out January 26.
