Two private Limousin bull sales

Two private Limousin bull sales came to The Scottish Farmer's attention this week.

Sold recently in a private sale to Colin and Elaine Lewis for £30,000 was Garnedd Gower

Garnedd Gower, an 18-month-old pedigree Limousin bull has been sold privately for £30,000 by his breeders, Ken and Ellen Jones, Bryn Ddraenen, Betws y Coed, North Wales to Welshpool based breeders, Colin and Elaine Lewis of the Garyvaughan herd, Buttington New Hall. The bull, a son of the Irish-bred stock bull, Bremore Djerk, by Nenuphar, is out of the Broomfield Regentcey daughter, Garnedd Blodwen, which goes back to one of the herd's foundation females, the 1996-born Eden Marianne, a Broadmeadows Cannon daughter

Shropshire based Christine William and Paul Tippetts of the Wilodge herd, have announced the private purchase for an un-disclosed five figure price, of the eight-month-old Gerrygullinane Glen, a Limousin bull bred by Gerard Walsh and Anne Marie Clarke, Knockmore, Ballina, Co Mayo. Sired by Marchermore Augustus, a son of Ronick Hawk, he is out of Gerrygullinane Daisy which was shown successfully as a calf with back breeding to Mas Du Clo and Generaux.
