Mr Forsyth, who runs 100 ewes in his flock, 'herded by Brian Robb, led the way this year with another daughter of the 9000gns Strathbogie Python, which has bred several five-figure priced sheep for the flock including the 40,000gns Glenside Razzle Dazzle, and the record priced female at 32,000gns sold last year from Glenside at this event. She is out of a home-bred ewe by Muiresk Nearco, and sold carrying twins to the 9000gns Mellor Vale The One, to Alasdair Beaton, Wester Crosshill, Slamannan, Falkirk.

Second top was an 8500gns bid from an undisclosed breeder, for the number six gimmer from Albert and George Howie's 35-ewe Knock flock from Stuartfield, Fraserburgh. A daughter of the 40,000gns Cambwell Rob Roy, out of a home-bred ewe by Anglezarke Krug, she sold carrying a pair to the 20,000gns Sportsman's Supreme, which has already bred sons to the same price.
