Lleyns to £2100 at Worchester

A major reduction sale of Dai and Cynthia Morris' Penywern Lleyn flock, at Worcester, proved successful, when the flock sold a two-year-old daughter of Ballylinney Action Man, in lamb carrying twins to Bronalt Alwyn, for 2100gns to Welsh breeders, DN Bennett and Son, Meiford, Powys.

Bred from one of the best ewes in the flock, with the dam having produced sons to 15,000gns, the gimmer is also an ET sister to 2000gns and 1450gns female sales. Both were purchased by DN Bennett and Son.

Just behind, on 1400gns, Mrs C Lewis, Caersws, Powys, bought a similarly aged ewe by Action Man, that stood third in her class at the Royal Welsh Show.

Gimmers also sold to 1400gns for another Action Man daughter from the Penywern flock scanned with twins to Bronalt Alwyn. The buyer was L Organ, Llandysul, Powys.
