Blackface ewe hoggs met a tremendous trade at United Auctions Stirling centre on Wednesday, selling to a top of £470 a head.
This was for a pen of 20 from Ian Hunter’s Dalchirla flock from Crieff and sets a new breed standard. Buyer was Robert Loughery from Northern Ireland.
Dalchirla also had the second top in the section when a pen realised £250.
