The development will enhance the genetic offer available for UK farmers by providing them with a dedicated sales and technical service for the focus product range.
These include of Primera terminal sire and Highlander damline, that will complement Innovis' own genetics – the Aberdale, Aberfield, Abermax and Abertex, all of which have been developed in the last six years using biotechnology, and bred and reared on grass based systems to improve flock performance efficiency.
"This agreement with its greater product diversity and opportunity to enhance genetic progress, will enable the company to catalyse its developments as the established science-led supplier with commercial sheep farming at the heart of its nucleus operations and offer producers a wider choice and more comprehensive service," said Innovis' chief executive, Dewi Jones.
