The champion calf, a Limousin cross heifer weighing 290kg from Messrs Young, Tormitchell, lead the trade to £2200, as well as the same home selling another two Limmy heifers both to £1800.
A Limousin bullock from Sunnyside sold to £1750, followed behind at £1500 for the reserve champion from Emma McAllister, Landalbuinach, with a British Blue cross bullock weighing 390kg.
Also on offer were 1418 store lambs which were a poorer show, resulting in all classes selling cheaper on the week. They averaged £46.37 having peaked at £69 for a pen of Roussin crosses from T Riddet, Gowanlea.
