FOLLOWING a brief spell as chief executive of the Shorthorn and Beef Shorthorn Cattle Societies, Milly Fyfe, has handed in her notice to help support the family’s farming business in Northamptonshire.

Milly, who took over the role from Frank Milnes, when retired at the end of July after 16 years, will be helping her husband Andrew, on the home farm where they run an expanding beef, sheep and arable farm along with pigs, chickens and a market garden.

The societies have informed their respective members and are currently reviewing the position for after her departure early April.

Geoff Riby, president of the Beef Shorthorn Society said: “We would like to thank Milly for her contribution towards helping to shape and lead the future of both Shorthorn and Beef Shorthorn Societies, and we wish her well for the future.”
