Scottish breeders led the annual show and sale of Bluefaced Leicester females at North West Auctions' Cockermouth centre, securing both the champion and reserve honours as well as the three highest prices.

Midlock also received 1000gns for a ewe hogg by the H1 Kirkby Redgate, bought by N Strickland, Kendal.

The champion, a ewe hogg from Jimmy and Wendy Bell's Cottage flock from Peebleshire, also sold for 1000gns to I and P Brown, Kirkby Stephen. She is by a D17 Hewgill tup.
