Scottish breeders led the annual show and sale of Bluefaced Leicester females at North West Auctions' Cockermouth centre, securing both the champion and reserve honours as well as the three highest prices.
Sale leader at 1900gns was the reserve champion, a home-bred in-lamb gimmer by the F27 Midlock Mustang, from Allan and Ben Wight, Midlock, Crawford, purchased by M and G German, Kirkby Lonsdale.
Midlock also received 1000gns for a ewe hogg by the H1 Kirkby Redgate, bought by N Strickland, Kendal.
The champion, a ewe hogg from Jimmy and Wendy Bell's Cottage flock from Peebleshire, also sold for 1000gns to I and P Brown, Kirkby Stephen. She is by a D17 Hewgill tup.
