YOUNG stock from the dispersal of W Ralston’s Darlochan herd of pedigree Holsteins peaked at £1350 at the on-farm sale conducted by Lawrie and Symington, at West Darlochan, Campbeltown.
Making that price was Dalochan History Sheena, a De-su History daughter whose dam was overall champion at a local club stockjudging competition while her grand-dam is a previous Campbeltown Show champion.
She sold to G and A Taylor, Upper Braikely, having been served to Alta B Good as well as the second top lot at £1280, Darlochan Zelgadis Anna, which is bred from a strong female line.
Also on offer was a selection of 167 lots of tractors, implements and tools which reached £29,200 for a Massey Ferguson 6470 Dyna 6.
