ORKNEY producer, Keith Eunson, Braebuster, Deerness, came home in style from last week's show and sale of pedigree Blondes at Carlisle, having purchased the top priced lot at 8000gns.

Selling at this price was the junior male and supreme overall champion, Hallfield Lincoln, a May 2015-born bull from P Weightman and Sons, Hallfield, Peterlee, Co Durham. He is out of the Blackwater Ainsley daughter, Hallfield Dizzy.

The same home also produced the second top priced bull at 5800gns, when Hallfield Lewis, which stood reserve junior male, was knocked down to J and K Metcalf and Son, Park House Farm, Barningham, Richmond. He is a direct son of Blackwater Ainsley, out of Hallfield Rhona, by Ballygowan Noble.

In an all Ireland sale, Co Down producer, M Savage, Drumsnade Road, Ballynahinch, went to 3500gns for D and G Stranney's similarly aged bull, Seavie Logan, from Ballylucas Road, Downpatrick, Co Down. He is by Abricot

Wigtownshire breeder, W Hall, Hanover Street, Stranraer, bought the majority of the females including the dearest at 3800gns, Shanvalley Latoya, another by Abricot, this time from the Savage Bros' Shanvalley heard from Ballynahinch, Co Down. Latoya, a July 2015-born heifer is bred from the show cow, Shanvalley Hoshi.
