A SMALL but selective sale of Charolais bulls saw a high of 3500gns at the South West Association’s annual sale at Holsworthy.
Star attraction was the pre-sale show champion, Polgoda Legend from David and Bernadette Stacey, St Austell, Cornwall. Their 15-month-old bull is by the Royal Cornwall Show breed champion, Balbithan Eria and out of Polgoda Glamoupuss, herself a Royal Cornwall show class winner. Legend stays in Cornwall, having been purchased by HJ Trudgian and Partners, Bugle.
Just behind on 3200gns was the reserve champion, Balbithan Mustang from Andrew White, Swanage, Dorset. Another with show success in his pedigree, this 15-month-old is by Loganbar Goran, and caught the eye of GHJ Medland, Peter Tavy, Devon.
