Gary Beacom's Lakeview flock from Fivemiletown, Co Fermanagh, continued on it's winning ways at the Northern Ireland Suffolk ram sale at Ballymena, last week, producing the top two highest prices at 13,000gns and 2000gns.

Pre-sale champion, he was knocked down to Seamus Brown, Letterkenny, Donegal.

The 2000gns bid came for a lamb bred from a Cairness Classic Fyvie-sired ewe, purchased by Peter Mangan, Co Galway.

Top price for Philip Gurney's Oakbridge flock from Aghadowey, Coleraine, was 1500gns paid by Ben Lamb, Richhill, Co Armagh, for a Dol-llys Dollar son, out of a ewe by Solwaybank Major.

Just behind, on 1450gns, Dennis Taylor, Macosquin, Coleraine, sold a Rhaeadr Rolls Royce son, to Geoffrey Douglas, Limavady. His dam is by Limestone To-Tal.

Leading the shearling ram trade at 700gns, Chris Caldwell, Ballymena, Co Antrim, bought, RC and JC Watson's Burnview Vardy son, from the Bannview flock from Rasharkin, Ballymena.
