The sole entry from M and J O’Hara’s Glenade herd, led the Aberdeen Angus Society’s autumn show and sale at Carlisle, selling for the top price of 5800gns.
Glenade Destroyer S333 ET, a 21-month-old son of Lakewood Prince Maverick is out of the Hoff Limited Edition-sired Elliot Delia D002 and sold to MW Walton and Son, Rawfoot, Bellingham, Hexham. He stood first in his class at the pre-sale show.
Aberdeenshire breeder, Hamish Sclater, Denhead, Dunlugas, Turriff, bought the second top priced lot at 4000gns. This was Martin McCornick’s McCornick Kingkong S240, a 17-month-old son of Halbeath Kitemark, out of McCornick Kim by Netherton Mr American, from Boreland, Kirkcowan, Newton Stewart. He also stood first in his class.
The champion from Neil and Mark Wattie, Mains of Tonley, Alford, Aberdeenshire, made 3250gns selling to Glenkiln Farm Partnership, Bettyknowes, Crocketford, Dumfries. He is by the Rawburn Double O Seven son, Tonley Essien.
