Winter Crag Farm
NOTHING was under sold thanks to a large crowd of local friends and farmers at the on-farm sale of machinery and implements at Winter Crag, Martindale, conducted by Penrith and District Farmers’ Mart on behalf of R Cookson and Son. 
All items were in fine order, with a top price of £26,000 paid for a Valtra N101 with Trima loader, while implements reached £5200 for a Welger round baler and a Grahams Edwards cattle trailer led the livestock equipment at £2800.

Carlisle
HARRISON and Hetherington held its second October sale of implements, tractors and small tools, at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, recently, where quality implements were in high demand with trade reaching a top of £2400.
That was paid for a Marshall eight-tonne trailer, while other top prices included £1850 for an Ifor Williams livestock trailer.

D’Mainholm Farm
TRADE exceeded expectations at the farm sale of machinery and implements from G McGimpsey and Co, D’Mainholm, Newcastleton, where there was a large turnout of buyers from as far afield as Aberdeen and Northern Ireland. 
The sale was onducted by C and D Auction Marts, and saw a top price of £28,500 paid for a 2012-plate Massey Ferguson 5455 with MX T8 loader, followrf at £10,300 for a 2011-registered twin-cab Nissan Navara. 
Implements peaked at £4200 for a Star livestock trailer and a Marston eight-tonne trailer.

Westfield House
A LARGE crowd gathered for JA and DS Scott’s sale of well-maintained tractors, vehicles and machinery at Westfield House, Laithkirk, Middleton in Teesdale, conducted by Harrison and Hetherington. 
Highlight of the day was the sale of a 2011-registered Land Rover Defender  in mint condition and with only 26,000 miles on the clock, which attracted the top price of £25,000. 
Also of interest was a nearly new Zetor Proxima 80 tractor (2012-reg) with only 136 hours on the clock which was knocked down for £19,200.
