A FULL ringside of buyers ensured a satisfactory trade despite a reduced, but quality entry of Suffolk females at the recent sale through United Auctions, Stirling.
Leading the entry at 900gns was a gimmer from Jimmy Douglas’ Cairness flock from near Fraserburgh. His gimmer, which was scanned carrying a single, sold to John MacGregor, The Binn, Glenfarg.
Ewe lambs reached 300gns for an entry from J Bignal, Smaladh, Islay, selling to G Dunbar, Hole o Clean, Errol.
LEADING prices:
In-lamb females – 750gns, 650gns, 600gns, 420gns Cairness.
Ewe lambs – 240gns, 220gns Smaladh.
