Dumfriesshire duo, Niall Goldie, Newbie Mains and Ben Radley, Loaningfoot, produced the overall championship at C and D Auction Marts' Christmas show and sale last week, with a British Blue cross heifer.
Weighing in at 535kg, this heifer named Queen Billie went on to sell for the top price per kilo at 360p per kg or £1926 to the judge, Norman Hall of Fraser Butchers, Stranraer.
Top price per head at £2305.50 and also selling to Mr Hall was the reserve champion, a Limousin cross bullock weighing 795kg from Billy Boyd, Terregles.
Among the prime sheep, Gillesbie Farms, Boreland, took the champion and reserve honours Champion was a pair of Beltex weighing 50kg which made £130 apiece to Mr Hall, while the reserve ticket went to 50kg Texels also selling for £130 a life to the same buyer.
