A GOOD show of 228 breeding cattle was easily cashed at Aberdeen and Northern Marts' Thainstone centre, last week, where the reduction from Plewlands, Duffus, topped the female trade at £2950 for a Simmental cross cow with bull calf.

A British Blue cross heifer and heifer calf from Wester Bleaton, Bridge of Cally, led the reduction heifers at £2750 while the main sale reached £2650 twice for Simmental heifers with one of each calf from South Blachrie, Fyvie.

A Limousin from Shannas, Clola, topped the bull offering at £3050.
