Young Ayla Craig, Glenhowan, led the way at C and D Auctions' annual young handlers competition and summer show of prime lambs at Dumfries, winning the overall championship with Black Texel.
Six-year-old Ayla's 50kg lamb also sold for the top price of £124 to local butcher, R Johnston and Son, Annan.
The judge, David Sloan, presented the top award in the senior section for those aged over 12 years, to Sean Dunbar, Burnfoothill, who sold his Texel lamb to PR Duff and Son, Wishaw, for £92.
The judge bought the best pair of lambs at the summer show, 40kg Beltex lambs from J Muir and Son, Cleughbrae at £100 per head, with the same home also producing the lead pen of Texel crosses which scaled 41kg and made £89.
