Aberdeen and Northern Marts had 863 cattle at their weekly sale where heifers led the way at 434.8p per kg for a Limousin cross from Osborne Farms, Balmadies, and to £2080 for a Limousin cross from Wester Bleaton, Bridge of Cally, to cash in at 281.9p.

Bullocks averaged 288.4p and sold to 376.6p for a pair of Charolais crosses from Cairntack, Belhelvie, and to £2080 for a British Blue cross from Tillyorn, Corse.

Bulls (11) sold for 274p or £1370 for a Charolais cross from Boganlea, New Blyth.

Some 4470 sheep also came under the hammer where a Texel shearling made £480 for Monellie, Drumblade.

Breeding sheep (492) averaged £81.01 and sold to £300 for a Beltex ewe from Conval Street, Dufftown, the same money was paid for a Texel ram from Blair Cottages Altyre.
