Robin Jennings of the Stainbank herd, South Stainley, Ripon, secured his third Craven Dairy auction championship of the year at CCM Skipton’s Easter Monday show and sale.
This was with the first prize cow in milk, a fresh second calver giving 41kg.
The judge, Will Oldfield, Gisburn, selected his reserve champion as the first prize heifer in milk, a seven-day calved Sandy-Valley Pharo daughter from TD Goldie and Son, Wiskemanor herd, Danby Wiske, Northallerton.
Both achieved joint the top price of £2050, when selling to Cheshire.
Two other fresh heifers from the Goldies also made £1900.
Also forward was the Spring youngstock fixture, which peaked at £1650, for a white heifer with udder promise and carrying a Limousin calf due July, from R and E Pollard, Colne.
Chris Drake, Thornton, Bradford, brought a second batch of youngstock comprising three in-calf heifers topping at £1450.
