Dira Yeoman secured the top price of 8200gns at the recent sale of Devon cattle at Sedgemoor for RD and JL Youngman, Crediton, Devon.

This April 2022-born bull polled son of Priorton Useful is out of Tilbrook Gracious 12th, and sold to Daylesford Organics, Moreton in the Marsh.

Following at 6200gns was the similarly aged bull Priorton Yawl from John and Sue May, Crediton. Sired by Dira Halcyon EX93 and out of Priorton Show Lassie 70th, he was knocked down to Joe Dufosee for the Warminster-based Blackhill herd.

Champson Bullion was next in the money at 5700gns for the Dart family, South Molton. This two-year-old bull is bred from Champson Tulip 119th, which goes back to Knowstone Fitzroy 4th. This one found a new home with Keith Francis, Kilkampton, Bude. The same home sold the reserve male champion Champson Premium for 4000gns to Ross May and family, Exeter. This March-2022 born son of Colleton Thorven is out of Champson Clara 321st.

A trio of bulls then hit the 3600gns mark. First was another from the May family, Priorton Yankee 2nd. This two-year-old is sired by Champson Diamond 2nd, and is bred by Priorton Show Lassie 47th. Taking him home to Westhay, Glastonbury, were TG and A Durston.

The pre-sale champion, Larkbarrow Accomplished from Wellshead Estates, Exford, was next to take the same money. This rising two-year-old is a son of Bollowal Back Row VG88 and out of Larkbarrow Daisyann 2nd.

Taking this boy home was WJ Watkins and Son, Holsworthy. Next up was the polled November-2021 born, Tilbrook Red Hot from GM Hunter, Cambridge. He is sired by Longwells Uptown Funk EX91 and out of Tilbrook Hotel 11th.

This one now heads to Stafford after being the pick for RM Gray.

Females sold to 1800gns for the female champion, Rocknell Azalea from Graham Summerhayes, Tiverton.

This May-2022 born heifer is sired by Knowstone Showboy EX92 and was another purchase of Daylesford Organics, Moreton in the Marsh.
