A Limousin heifer from Howard Barker, Fewston, led CCM auction’s monthly sale of 300 stirks, weaned calves and young store cattle, at Skipton, when selling for £1170.

Aberdeen Angus bullocks sold to £1030 from NP and DJ Darwin, Sheffield, who also sold the top priced black and white bullocks at £740.

Some 24 bulls forward saw a strong trade for all classes, having reached £1000 for a Limousin from Ian Dobson, Sowerby Bridge.

Simmental in-calf cows reached £1060 which was closely followed by an in-calf Shorthorn at £1040, both entries came from Brian Kaye, Sheffield.

From the entry of sheep and goats, ewes with lambs at foot sold to £150 whilst a Boer-x Billy made £198.
