A busy ringside looks on as the top priced lot sells at 1900gns
TRADE was similar to the last pedigree Holstein sale at Craig Wilson’s show and sale at Ayr Market, where 10 heifers averaged £1433.25 and 15 commercial animals levelled at £1157.33.
Top price was 1900gns for a heifer in milk from Robert Hunter, West Tarbrax, Shotts, who also sold the champion at 1400gns.
Bulls sold to 1500gns for the sole entry cashed in the section, from Matthew Armour, Milton, Beattock.

Commercial dairy – Calved heifers – £1820 Perryston; £1350 Millafleck. Calved cows – £1550 Perryston; £1350 South Lanridge.
