TRADE reached £1480 at Harrison and Hetherington’s February show and sale of store cattle at Kirkby Stephen, on Monday, which attracted a catalogued entry of 575 cattle.
That was paid for a 15-month-old British Blue cross Limousin heifer from Messrs Hodgson, Park House, Ravenstonedale.
The pre-sale show was judged by Brian Phillips, of Northallerton, who picked out a 13-month-old Limousin cross bullock from Martin Barker, Middle Bank End, Appleby, as his champion, which later went unsold.
The reserve, a 10-month-old Limousin cross bullock from Philip Brass, Bridge End, Soulby, later sold to Walter Dandie, Learielaw, for £1265.
