A HOME-BRED heifer from G Sowerby, Terrys Farm, Ormside, picked up the overall championship at the North West Limousin Club's primestock show and sale at Carlisle.
The heifer, by the home-bred bull, Terrys Eric and out of a Simmental cross British Blue cow, passed the weighbridge at 789kg and later sold for 211.5p per kg or £1668.74, to Pioneer Foods, Carlisle.
The reserve, a red steer by Wilodge Cerberus, from Messrs Jenkinson, Clifton Moor, Penrith, weighed in at 653kg and made 228.5p per kg or £1492.11 to Shaun McGimpsey.
