Holsteins led the way at a multi-breed show and sale of pedigree dairy cattle at Carlisle, securing the 3000gns lead price along with the majority of other lead prices.

The event which included the April Border and Lakeland pedigree dairy sale and the Spring Coloured Breed sales, also incorporated two consignments from the Clifton and Monument Jersey herds.

They peaked at 2800gns and 2300gns, with the former, Clifton Vanahlem May, sired by Pannoo Abe Vanahlem and bred from two Very Good dams both with big milk records.
