Centre records were smashed at UA’s beef breeding show and sale at Stirling on Monday, when a heifer and calf sold for £5300.
The sale, which featured 281 cattle and included the Scottish Simmental Club’s annual show and sale, was led by a British Blue cross Limousin heifer from John McAlister, West Thomaston, Banknock.
With a three-month-old Limousin heifer by a Rossignol son bought from Andrew Morton, it made top dollar selling to Gordon Cameron, Newton Cottage, Acharacle.
