PEDIGREE and commercial Luing breeders enjoyed a good day’s trading at Dingwall and Highland Marts’ ninth annual spring breeding sale, this week, when trade peaked at 5500gns and 1900gns, twice.
The sale attracted an entry of 103 head and saw a 24-month-old pedigree bull from CC Macarthur and Co, Nunnerie, Biggar, sell for 5500gns to Ben Challum, Woodburn, Crieff.
Among the females, two pedigree bulling heifers from Scott Renwick, Inverbroom, Ullapool, sold at 1900gns apiece to A and C Matheson, Upper Bogrow, Tain.
