A SMALL selection of stock sold through Aberdeen and Northern Marts’ Quoybrae mart for its first rare breed sale, peaked at £400 for a 177kg Luing heifer from S Gollin, Lower Toftingall, Watten.
The 20 ewes with lambs reached £370 for a Kerry Hill with twins from Anica Polson, Westerloch, Wick, and hoggs sold to £160 for a Kerry Hill from the same home.
Rams reached £110 for a Zwartbles from M Macaulay, Tails of Watter, Watter.
Topping the five horses at £250 was a gypsy cob from W and I Manson, the Ha, Auckengill, Wick, while near neighbour A Matheson, Hillside, Auckengill, topped the eight pigs with a sow which made £75.
