TWO bulls from David and Sadie Littlehales’ polled Pentervin herds of Charolais and Blonde cattle from near Minsterley, Shropshire, have been sold to Germany as the demand for new breeding lines of polled cattle continues in Europe.
Selling to Torben Arf was the polled homozygous Charolais bull, Pentervin MightP, a 13-month-old son of Piperhaywood Brutus bred out of a Pentervin Universe daughter.
The Blonde bull, which sold to Rolf Schneider, was 12-month-old Pentervin Mr P, an Enzo son out of an imported cow.
Adding to the European sales, semen from Pentervin Universe sold to Kees van den Oord in the Netherlands, who wanted to use the sire for his shape and easy calving
“It’s very pleasing the number of semen sales to European countries and the great reaction to UK polled Genetics rounding off a marvellous spring of bull sales in the UK,” commented Sadie Littlehales.
