Prices peaked at 6200gns at the Limousin Cattle Society's summer sale of bulls and females at Carlisle, where Homebyres Letham topped the trade.

This 22-month-old bull from John Logan, Humebyres, Kelso, is by Plumtree Fantastic, and sold to Andy Paton, Craig, Straiton. Letham is out of the Homebyres Vanhee daughter, Homebyres Duplicity which also bred the 13,000gns Homebyres Felboy in 2012.

Next best was a 5500gns call given for Barrons Maximus from W Barron, Morrow Edge, Durham. This January 2016-born bull is by Wilodge Cerberus, and sold to Keith Bell, Hilltop farm, Keswick for his Wanthwaite herd.

Three bulls made 5200gns, including Kirtlevale Logan, from RJ Livingston, Kirtle Vale, Gretna. This 26-month-old son of Loosebeare Fantastic, was bought by GW and C Athey, High Lovelady Shield, Alston, Cumbria.

Later, the November 2015-born Rachels Lancelot, Mas Du Clo, made the same money selling to P Cummings, Holme, Carnforth. He was consigned by D and MLP Woolhouse, Staveley Wold, North Dalton, Driffield.

The final 5200gns sale came for the March 2016-born Haltcliffe Matador from Craig Ridley's herd from Wigton. Matador is by Volcano and was knocked down to G and MF Turnbull and Sons, Whashton Spring Farm, Richmond.
