Prices peaked at £2200 at the July dairy show and sale at Skipton, when father and son duo, Tony and James Swires, Town End, Stainburn, Harrogate, sold a fresh pedigree Holstein heifer.
Selling at this price was a daughter of Ballycairn Tiergan, which sold to regular buyers, Alf and Andrew Townsend, Southfield, Burnley.
The Swires had a great day, producing the overall champion which made £1950, with two others making £1980 and £1950.
Their show winner, a home-bred Picston Shottle daughter three weeks calved and giving 28litres, was bought by the pre-sale judge, Bishop Thornton, Shaun Sowray, who also bought the second £1950 lot, a pedigree heifer by Myersdale Finesse.
Their third prize commercial heifer then made 1980 to Brian Blezard, of Ribchester.
Reserve champion was the second prize heifer from Lancashire brother and sister, Sam and Louise Wood, of Broadwood Edge Farm, Holcombe, near Bury. Calved for 17days and giving 32litres, she made £2100, again to Mr Blezard.
