ALL classes were easily sold during the final on farm dispersal of Messrs McAlister's Bruchag herd of Ayrshires from the Isle of Bute, which peaked at 2400gns for a heifer in milk.
She sold freshly calved to John Paton, Easter Greenhill, Avonbridge, while cows peaked at 2100gns for one selling to TR Logan, Holehouse, Kilburnie.
Cows hit 2000gns on two occasions when a July-calved female sold to J Lyon, Little Kilchattan, Kingarth, and a cow in milk was knocked down to WH Carmichael, Macmanniston, Dalrymple.
Mr Lyon paid a further 1600gns for a heifer due in November.
