THERE was a slight increase in the number of cattle forward at the Tow Law show and sale, which welcomed a total of 362 calves for judging by Elaine Vickers (Sedgewick), of Long Myers, Durham.
Her calf champion, and sale topper at £2000, was a 10-month-old British Blue cross heifer by Bluegrass Cyclone from the Thompsons at East Unthank, Haltwhistle.
The store champion was a 23-month-old British Blue cross bullock from the Gowland family, Allergill, which realised £1300.
