After a highly successful show season, the 18-month-old British Blue bull, Topgun Splash has been sold in a private deal at £22,000 for Ali and Hannah Jackson, Maulscastle, Cummertrees, Annan.
Having stood junior and overall champion at the Royal Highland Show, junior male and overall male champion at the Great Yorkshire and Royal Welsh shows he has certainly made his mark for the herd.
With some semen being retained for their own use this boy has been spotted and grabbed up by Andrew and Michael Phillips for the Drift Blues herd, Shooting Lodge, Reading, Berks.
“We have been looking for a bull who ticks all the boxes for a long time and Splash definitely does that, with a great pedigree and show career,” said Michael.
This boy is the result of the sire, Engin d Hontoir, onto Solway View Oesha, which was gifted to the couple as a wedding present from Kevin Watret.
