The pre-sale champion, Loosebeare Tommy, went on to secure the top price of 35,000gns at the Limousin spring show and sale at Carlisle.

The Quick family from Loosebeare Manor, Devon, sold their July 2022 born bull in a two way split to Donald MacGregor, the Dyke, Milton of Campsie, and Archie and John MacGregor, Allanfauld, Kilsyth. This boy is sired by the 17,000gns Ampertaine Jeronimo and out of Loosebeare Nancy.

Gorrycam Turbo then achieved 32,000gns for Stephen Reel, Cullyhanna, Newry, Co Down. Reserve senior champion he is a son of Gorrycam Phanton and bred from Gorrycam Pink. He sold commercially to Gordon Cameron, Acharrade, Argyll.

The overall reserve champion and junior champion went to the August 2022 born bull, Foxhillfarm Terminator from Mike and Melanie Alford, Foxhill Farm, Devon, which later realised 28,000gns. Andrew Gammie, Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire, got for his money a son of Ampertaine Elgin which is out of Foxhillfarm Natasha.

Next best at 23,000gns was Pabo Tommy from Peradur and Llyr Hughes, Pabo, Fferam Gyd, Anglesey. This third prized bull is sired by Whitehall Larry, out of Pabo Nigella and now travels down to Wales with Messrs Howatson and Son, Denbigh, Clwyd.

First in the ring met no disappointment for Mike and Melanie Alford, Foxhill, when their September 2022 born heifer, Foxhillfarm Tequila, secured the top priced female of 13,000gns. An Ampertaine Foreman daughter she is bred from Foxhillfarm Mammamia, and found a new home with Messrs Behan, Ballyfin, Port Laois, Ireland.
