John Douglas and family's Ervie spring sale of Hereford bulls from Mains of Airies, Leswalt, Stranraer, sold to a top £5600.
The on-farm sale staged through C and D Auction Marts saw Ervie L1 Advance 702984, a 23-month-old by the American-bred Ervie RL1 Achiever 151966N, bred from the Noreen family, top the sale when selling to local Black Baldier breeder, Robert Parker, Drumdow.
Next best at £5400 was Ervie L1 Achiever 503003, a May 2022-born sired by the American Ervie RL1 Achiever 151966N. He sold south with Welsh breeders, Messrs Lewis, Anglesley.

Toward L1 Achiever from the Ervie Unitarian family then received £4000 from RC Shearlaw and Son, High Garphair.
Tom McMillan, Eskechraggan, Isle of Bute, went to £3800 for Ervie L1 Achiever 302987.
Aberdeen Angus Bulls forward sold to £4000 on two occasions. First was Airies Sholto 203147 purchased by Derbyshire producer D Sidebottom, Netherwater, with the second being Airies Sholto 603158, which was sold to Messrs March and Lobban, Muncraig, Kirkcudbright.
