A British Blue roan heifer from Messrs Reed and Hill, Lingey Field, Riding Mill, sold for the top price of £2150 at C and D Auction Marts’ show and sale of store cattle at Longtown.

Bullocks peaked at £1800 for a Simmental cross from JDM Thomson, Newlands, Eaglesfield.

Feeding bulls reached £2000 for Aberdeen Angus bulls from WP Ross-Taylor, Littlegill, Abington.

Pre-sale show judge, Craig Malone, Cardenden, found his champion in a Limousin bullock from Messrs Gass, Nunscleugh, which later realised £1680. The reserve was a British Blue bullock from Messrs Byers, Whitehill, that made £1620.
