QUALITY types were forward at United Auctions' annual early spring sale on Tiree, where averages rose on the year with bullocks averaging £868.56 or 236.34p per kg (+15.2p) and heifers to £720.32 or 221.14p (+18.66p).
The sale peaked at £1180 three times for Charolais cross bullocks from Heylipol and 298p per kg for Limousin cross bullocks from Main Road. 
Included in the sale was an entry of 90 Charolais, Limousin and Aberdeen-Angus cattle from Heylipol which levelled at £1018.98 or 236.21p.
