LAWRIE and Symington sold 546 store cattle which included a large quantity of dairy-bred and heavy cattle.

Selling for the top price of £1280 were British Blue bullocks from Biggarshiels with bullocks also hitting 247.3p per kg for Charolais from Letham.

Heifers reached £1190 for Limousins from Westerhouse and 223p for more of the same from Stonebyres.

In all, the 289 bullocks levelled at 210.3p or £958.85 with 48 dairy beasts at 141.7p or £646.50 and 202 heifers at 204.6p or £847.24.
