ALL classes of breeding sheep were dearer on the week at Harrison and Hetherington, where trade peaked at £74 per life twice, firstly for a Texel cross ewe with single from Messrs Ramsay, Dockray Hall, and again for a pen of five broken mouthed ewes with twins from Messrs Jenkinson, Clifton Moor.
The latter from Clifton Moor also topped the price per unit at £222, and Clifton Moor sold 87 units, all with twins, to average £205.26.
A smaller show of hoggs proved easy to sell for the time of year and peaked at £74 for Texels from Messrs Reay, West Moorhouses.
