DESPITE a wintry morning, a strong entry of cattle was on offer at Harrison and Hetherington, which included the March show and sale of continental cross calves.

The weekly sale of 294 stores peaked at £1340 for British Blue bullocks from Bolton Wood Lane with heifers to £1080 for Limousins from High Bow. 

A good show of 250 weaned calves saw Limousin bulls from Woodhouse Lane top at £1145, with Limmy bullocks from Orton Hall to £1030 and Limousin heifers from Tarn How to £950.
