QUALITY rams sold well at Dingwall and Highland Marts’ annual show and sale of breeding sheep at Dingwall, where a Texel shearling from Clyth Mains, Occumster, sold for the top price of £1450 to JM and B Sutherland, Latheronwheel Mains, Caithness.
The overall champion, a Suffolk shearling from A Shepherd and Sons, Stonyford Farm, Tarland, sold for £650 to RM Campbell, Harris. The reserve, a Texel shearling from DN Campbell, Bardnaclaven, Thurso, also sold to JM and B Sutherland, Latheronwheel, for £700. 
Selling for £600 to D Thomson, 42 Oldhall, Watten, was the North Country Cheviot park-type champion from James MacKay, Biggins, Wick.
